This is a very easy and good recipe. The flavor is great, I did leave out the cumnin. Family like it will make it again.

Delicious, tasted just as good as it did at the resturant, except I didn't top it with chives! Didn't have heavy cream so used half and half.

This was wonderful! Made this as my first course on Christmas Day and it was a big hit. Didn't have a jalapeno pepper so I used crushed red pepper flakes. Added just the right amount of heat to the soup. Will be making this again!

This is delicious. I didn't add the cream at the end to keep it a healthy meal. My boyfriend loved it, but I prefer a little more savory flavor, so next time I think I'll cook some bacon and use the fat instead of oil and then crumble the bacon on top. Bacon and butternut is soooo good.

Made it for Thanksgiving last year, and it was such a hit that it was specially requested for this year. Best soup I've ever had!!

This recipe was spot-on amazing. I didn't completely puree it so there were some nice nuggets of squash. Only thing I would change is putting more jalapeno because there wasn't enough heat for me to really tell it was there.

I've made a different version of this soup a few times, but this was by far the best recipe. I used vegetable oil instead of peanut oil in case of allergies. I reduced the broth by 1/2 a cup and added a pinch of Splenda. The bowl was scraped clean by the end of the party.

Very Good soup-used a little pumpkin spice to warm it up instead of hot pepper. Didn't have peanut oil so used canola. If you have peanut allergies in the family-don't use peanut oil :0

This was the first time I have made butternut squash soup - - - and it won't be the last! This recipe was so simple (only made the soup, not the salsa. I substituted a teaspoon of crushed red pepper flakes because I didn't have a jalepeno pepper, and left out the heavy cream. It was sooooooo delicious! Perfect for a fall dinner. Next time I'll make the shrimp salsa also :-D
