Wow - this recipe really was a big hit. Used light butter and store bought pastry crust to lighten it up a bit and no one missed the extra fat. Will definitely make again!

It was not hard to make and it was wonderful. My family enjoyed it so much that I went out and bought a tart pan so I can continue to make it again.

    Keep these good receipes coming!

I love to cook and make delicious desserts. Especially warm fruit desserts, so when I saw Amy make this I knew I had to try it, because it seemed like such a good way to make an apple tart. And it was! The texture was so nice and the flavor of the apples really come through. I had some extra tart dough left over so I put some blueberries and raspberries combined with sugar into a few ramekins then topped it with the extra dough with some egg wash on top. It all turned out so good! Thanks Amy

Wow, this was really wonderful. The easiest tart dough ever with wonderful texture. And wow, some people are petty in their reviews.

I hate to say it, but Erin from Ft. Collins, you've given 2, and maybe more bad reviews of Amy's recipes. Have you stopped to think that maybe it is your cooking, and not the recipe that is lacking? I found this recipe absolutely delicious and quite simple to prepare. I love Amy and can't wait for more of her wonderful recipes.

I am French and I am delighted that Amy is making French dishes...This "tarte aux pommes" is a classic that I used to buy from my corner bakery in France (no cinnamon, please! and I love to have the recipe....Merci, Amy!
Suggestion :After baking the tart, glaze the apple slices with some warm melted apricot jam, it will look shiny and very pretty...

This recipe was divine! It was so easy to make and it really highlighted the flavor of the apples, rather than hiding the apples among a bunch of over-spiced goo. This is a wonderful recipe for a relatively light, delicious, and elegant dessert that you can make with speed and ease. Bravo, Amy!

I made this to take to a Thanksgiving party and it was a huge success. It is a very pretty dish, and is relatively good for you as desserts go. I liked the option of using store-bought pie crust from the refrigerator section, pie dough is not my favorite thing to work with. This has a permanent home in the repertoire.

I made this for Thanksgiving and thought it was fabulous. I had never made a pie or tart before and my whole family really enjoyed it. I've been requested to make it again. The recipe was easier than I expected and I had fun making it. I look forward to making it again.
