The wine and shallot sauce was soooooo delicious and much easier and simpler than most other sauces I have tried in the past. From the fabulous flavor, you would never guess how easy it was!

My family absolutely loved the dinner...I prepared it 100%, the Gouryere, the steak and potatoes, and the profiteroles. Best of luck with the new show, and thanks for the great meals!

I made this recipe for friends of mine and they loved it!! It was very flavorful and easy to make. I used a favorite red wine of mine for the shallots and it was delicious!

This recipe sounds so good!!! My son is coming home for a visit from college(in San Diego, Amy next weekend and I think I'm going to make this and the cracked potatoes for him. Keep up the great work. Also you were on Good Day LA recently and I hope in the near future you will show us/give out the recipe for your Apple Tart. It looked so GOOD!!!! The on air people couldn't stop talking about how good it was and we kept seeing them sneaking bites of it on camera.

I make flank steak a lot and I have a few different preparations but I've been looking for a new one. I've never done a red wine sauce even though it's something I really enjoy at restaurants. I guess I always thought they'd be hard to do - but this was great! It was super easy to make, even after a long day at work, and tasted great! This one's definitely a keeper!

I've always been a little intimidated by flank steak because I know it can be tough, but this was very tender and easy to make ... and the sauce was scrumptious! I love the fact that you gave us a whole menu. Very often, I'll find a nice main dish on FN, but then I go crazy trying to come up with a side dish with flavors that will compliment the main course. The cracked potatoes were the perfect side dish with the steak and sauce! It's only been one episode, but I already love your show. You explained things very well and you made it all seem so easy. I was not the slightest bit intimidated by any of the recipes and that's because of you. Thanks.

Welcome Amy, and what a great first recipe!! I have made this with filet mignon and a sweet onion, but I really enjoyed the flank steak and the shallot.
The shallot cooks so much faster, and was so sweet!! Used leftover meat for a salad the next night. I look forward to your show!!

loved this dish---so easy to prepare--sometimes we over complicate dishes and forget the simplest things can be fabulous. Key is to follow directions and cut on the diagonal! Thanks Amy--looking forward to more!
