This recipe is about the simple blended flavors of avacado, lime juice and salt. If you love avacados in their simplest form, this guacamole recipe makes sense. The flavors explode in a wonderful combination of sweetness from the avacado and tartness from the lime juice, both enhanced by the salt. Wonderful. Why did the naysayers even try the recipe when they saw none of the other ingredients they like in gaucamole listed?

True, this isn't my idea of guacamole either, but the name of the recipe is "Purist's Guacamole." Kudos to Amy, collectively her recipes are entirely excellent. Can't wait to see what delicious meal will be served next. Amy, you certainly deserve being named the winner of the Food Network Challenge and I hope we'll be seeing much more of you!!

This is what happens when a third place
runner-up, who was even voted off, ends up winning a show. This is not guacamole, it's just smashed guacamole with some lemon juice.
Preparation-0, taste-1.

This is nothing more than salted mashed avocado with citric acid to retard browning. It is not a guacamole by any stretch of the imagination, and vertainly not a recipe! ugh.

Amy's guacamole reminds me of the guacamole I ate in Mexico last summer. Outstanding. I also make her home made tortillas and salsa ... true Mexican comfort food

I'm a fan of a simple guac (avocado, lime, GARLIC, and salt like they make it in Mexico. Serve a good spicy Pico de Gallo on the side and let guest spice up the guac to their taste. It's gotta have garlic though.
