    I didn't have any buttermilk so I soured some milk with vinegar and it did the trick. My husband and kids were very satisfied!

    We won't be ordering these anymore from a restaurant. We've now become chicken finger snobs. The flavor is unbelievable. I'd bet it our be great on a whole cut-up fryer, too. Once you've had the best, there's no point in going back to those rubbery things you buy pre-packaged at the grocery store or at the restaurant. We will be making these in batches and saving them.

    Our next experiment will be to try freezing these and then backing them again a few days later.
