I made these chicken fingers 2 nights ago and my 4 yr old cant stop asking me to make more. These are perfect. It has a crispy outside, juicy on the inside. the seasoning was perfect. This was my first time ever making homemade tenders... and I am sure it wont be my last. The honey mustard sauce was just as delicious. Normally I dont like honey mustard.. sometimes it can be to tangy overpower the taste of the chicken.. but this one was just right.. although I didnt put any horseradish in because I didnt have any. But all together it was awesome!

I am not sure why people are saying they are too salty. You are not suppose to use all of the seasoning. It is like seasoning you purchase at the store. You use what you want. I just sprinkled on both sides of the chicken. I thought this recipe was great. Paula, you have done it again!

It was worth the trip to the grocery store to get the buttermilk and self rising flour! Chicken was crispy and delicious. I used the dressing for salad too--very good.

Love these! My 5 year old son asked for a third helping. Very crispy and so yummy. Extremely easy to make. Used canola instead of peanut oil. Will make these over and over again...

I made these for some guests tonight but made one huge mistake instead of sprinkling the chicken with the seasoning I really patted it on there which made them super salty but everyone still loved them. I dont like honey mustard so I bought some bbq and Sweet and Sour sauce. Tasted amazing with the sweet and sour. Totally cut down the taste of the salt haha.

I never cook because I'm always to nervous about doing something wrong but this recipe was soooo amazingly simple and delicious all my friends asked where I ordered them from!

    To the previous reviewer:
You dont put a cup of salt or the pepper or the garlic powder in the chicken finger/tender flour. You make a shaker of the seasoning mix above AND then you just season the recipe with as little or as much of the seasoning as you want. Its not salty at all that way.
    Everyone else:
Anyone who DOES know how to cook and read a recipe, this is an EXCELLENT recipe and the honey mustard dressing is incredible. I will never buy honey mustard salad dressing again, i will make my own!

My niece who is young and so always gets chicken fingers at restaurants and still prefers canned/boxed food(mac and cheese, chef boy r d, etc to scratch like a lot of kids do, loved these tenders and the honey mustard dip. So believe it, THESE ARE GREAT!

I cannot believe the high rating this recipe got with a CUP OF SALT!!! I tried it because of the reviews and it was so salty that it made me cough when I ate it. I would however, try this recipe again but with only maybe 1/4 of salt. The consistency of the breading came out really good and the honey mustard sauce was restaurant quality.
