I still don't see why people claim this recipe was "bland," "no flavor,"- You NEED to use whole, fresh ingredients to get the taste Guy is after. Then you tweek the recipe to your taste using the amount of salt, pepper, and "seasonings" you like. For example, more parmesan for a nuttier, saltier taste; more cilantro for herbier, greener taste; more lemon or lime for tarter (or to cut the heaviness of the cream more jalepeno (or add crushed red pepper for hotter.
Also, regarding the tequila, I add it to the veg Before adding the turkey (or chicken, then flambe, and once the fire has died off, add the rest of the ingredients. The alcohol burns off, all you are left with is a tangy taste. You do NOT need to use a premium tequila, and if you do you are Wasting your money-you don't taste the subtleties you are paying for in an expensive tequila. Hope this helps, and Enjoy this great recipe!

I must agree with others that I was a little disappointed with this recipe. Followed it exactly, used all fresh organic ingredients, and it was bland. I think it could be doctored up, however, to be a good recipe. It definitely needs more jalapeno and some added salt. The sauce quantity was not enough for the pasta quantity and that may be why I felt it was a little bland too. Also, make sure you serve this right away for best flavor. We had to prepare it ahead of time and it didn't do well staying warm & flavorful for our party.

I was so excited to make this, but was not impressed at all. I found it to be a little bland. Followed the recipe to a tee, using only fresh ingredients, but it was lacking salt and heat. If I try it again, I think instead of turkey, some shrimp and chorizo might give it the kick it needs.

This dish is amazing!! Have made this twice in the past week. I used leftover rotisery chicken that I had on hand, and whole grain pasta to up the nutritional value. Other than that pretty much followed the recipe to a T. Using all fresh ingredient in this dish is the key!! Love!!

I just bought Guy's new book, "Guy Fieri Food". My first recipe from the book and it was better than I expected. Very flavorful and another level of flavor when you squeeze a little lime juice at the table. My son dubbed it "awesome". I had my deli person cut a 1/2 inch thick slice of baked turkey for me...it was about 8 ounces. The recipe doubles easily too. Don't be afraid to double any of the ingredients, i.e., jalapenos, garlic, tequila, etc. This is another notch in my kitchen gun and will be used without a doubt.

I wish I could give this recipe more than 5 stars. I really loved the flavor, I've never tasted anything quite like it. For the tequila I used Patron and I also doubled the recipe so there would be enough for 2. It's also really quick, took me about 20 mins. Most of the time was spent waiting for the water to boil. Next time I make it I'll use a rotisserie chicken or get pre-cooked meat from the deli. I think that would taste better than the turkey breast I cooked myself.

Made this for dinner tonight and it was awesome! I bought a boneless turkey breast and cut it into bite size pcs and cooked it up in a pan of olive oil and salt and pepper. Did everything else as recipe specified. Upped it to feed 3 people and it was fantastic. Lots of flavor, which I totally would expect from Guy! This is a keeper in my house.

I made it tonight and it was delicious!! This was the first time I tried Guy's recipe and I was so happy about it. I substituted turkey with rotisserie chicken. Other than that, I followed the recipe to the T. I will definitely make it again. My hubby loved it and I did too. Thanks Guy!

I made it exactly how it calls for it but I just didn't use Tequila. The reason for that was I didn't want to spend the extra money on a great tequila and didn't want to go cheap either so I left it out and this dish still turned out awesome believe it or not.
I added some cooked chicken breast that was cut into very small pieces from the night before along with the turkey and gave you 2 different taste that worked very well.
I will make this again with some Patron or Don Julio and I'm sure to enjoy it.
Thanks Guy!

Delicious! I added prosciutto to it and chopped up the turkey instead of slicing. Everything mixed together well that way. Great recipe, easy to prepare and adjust by adding different ingredients.
