We have been home with a new baby and my husband has taken charge of making dinner for us. One morning we saw Tyler make this on the Today show so that night he made it. We had our family over everyone loved it. The house smelled so good while it was cooking and tasted even better. We also had mahed potatoes and my husband used the juice at the bottom for a gravy. What really made it so good was how tender the veggies turned out and the flavor of the wine through out the dish.

Thank you- my family LOVED it- I went from "mom - your meat is sooo dry" to "AMAZING" They couldn't stop talking about the meal. It is definitely something special. I believe the wine is what makes this recipe. I used similar ingredients for a pot roast and again- UNBELIEVABLE. Tyler- you are the "man" in our home
    for recipes.

I remember watching Tyler make this but can't recall if he used beef stock or not.
If so, what was the ratio between the wine and the beef stock-because from reading the reviews I have mixed thoughts on how to make it the "right way"?

I haven't made it yet but I had to rate it anyway,...so I'm assuming it's excellent!?

It was easy to make and a real comfort food for winter. I would add some beef stock instead of all that wine, maybe half bottle and cup of stock, but it was a great meal and I can't wait to make it again. I served with mashed potatoes. Delish!

While the beef brisket came out okay, if you factored in the long prep time, this recipe wasn't exactly worthwhile. I've had many a beef brisket just thrown in a crock pot with some veggies and it turned out no different. Also there was way too much wine, it came out tasting like I had spilled my wine glass right onto my plate before eating it. We ate it all, but not before pouring on some strong barbeque sauce.

Delicious, flavorful and tender (not to mention how wonderful the house smelled while this was cooking! I would have given this 5 stars but yet again the on-line recipe was different than the TV show. Tyler added a half carton of beef stock to the pot which is missing from the recipe and needed. Tyler, you need a better editor as this happens too often.

I made this today and it is terrific. Moist and tender and the gravy is wonderful.

This is the best brisket recipe I have ever used. Everyone in the family has requested the recipe for entertaining friends. Great to make on a cold day when you don't wish to venture outdoors and you want your home to smell wonderful.
