You could leave out the liquor and the result will be a banana shake, which I'm sure would be good. The rum is what makes it like the title implies: bananas "foster", like the famous New Orleans dessert.

We want to try this but we have a ????. We do not drink so don't have liquer so how will that affect the outcome of this shake? Can something else be substituted or just left out all together and still come out with the same result??
