Haven't tried making the lasagna yet, but it looked wonderful. Just have to say that little Justin is the CUTEST kid in the world!! He should be a regular in all Big Daddy's episodes... he is a natural!!!

We made this lasagna last night. I wouldn't say it was "easy" to make, so make sure you allow some extra time to assemble. I used ricotta cheese instead of cottage cheese and did not use the red pepper flakes. Everyone LOVED it! It was so good. I highly recommend this recipe!

Just made this dish for my family. I have a three year old and a one year old and they loved it! They had no idea about the veggies! I didn't add the red pepper and black pepper. Also I made the veggies and sauce together.

The cracked pepper and red pepper in this recipe eliminated the wonderful flavors lurking beneath. Also, the directions were wrong. Where it said add 2 tbs of butter to the vegetables, that was the start of the sauce. Do yourself a favor and either eliminate the red pepper and reduce the cracked pepper. Cook for at least 60 minutes and then this would be good. I admit that I am very sensitive to red pepper, but this was ridiculous!!!

I was not all that impressed with this. The noodles were gummy and after cutting into it had about 1/4 of an inch of liquid at the bottom of the pan. I liked the flavor of it so will play around with the process. I think if you don't soak the noodles first and bake for about 60-90 min would solve the problems! We'll see.

I didn't think this would be good at first, but I talked myself into doing this. Both my wife and I loved it! I added a few extra ingredients to mine such as portabella mushrooms, diced tomatoes and ricotta cheese instead of the cottage cheese. It through me off as well when the recipe called for sauce then vegetables, but it turned out good having those mixed together like a normal marinara sauce. Once you add the flour, milk and the vegetable stock, you need to pay attention and whisk whisk whisk. Great recipe looking forward to trying more from Big Daddy's House and other Food Network stars.

This is such a great recipe! I did get a little confused when it said sauce then vegetables..kind of wished I read the ratings beforehand. I will definitely do both in separate pans next time. Either way it turned out great and my children loved it! This was our first time ever eating zucchini and squash and you could barely even tell it was in there. Awesome!

I made this tonight and it did take a while to prepare everything. It was not a bad tasting meal but just didn't do it for me but as someone else wrote do make the sauce separate when the instructions get to the where it says "2 tablespoons of butter"

WOW... the flavors in this lasagna are brilliant! What a wonderful way to eat my veggies : I've shared this recipe with all of my friends. Don't be intimidated by the amount of work in this recipe - lots of slicing, dicing, grating and shredding, but WOW is it worth it! (and don't skimp on the ingredients, use the best and spring for good cheese! This lasagna is seriously satisfying... Thanks Aaron!
