I loved this dish. I did however add a can of stewed tomato and a few tablespoons of tomato paste. I also put the browned chicken in with the rice...they both came out tasty and moist...thanks Bobby

Oh my goodness! This was GREAT!!! I watched this throw-down last night, and just had to try this for tonights evening meal. I have 7 children and they all wanted seconds!! I doubled this recipe and it was really not that hard to make, and we loved it!! Thanks for doing the throwdowns and sharing them with us! I love to cook and this adds a great twist to our meals. I have my husband hooked on the cooking channel, we don't miss a show!!! Keep it coming, we really enjoy!!!

My great grand mother made this dish. I came from a family of 10. If we found out she was making this somehow we would allll show up with left overs to take home. This is as close as it may to get to real favors. Please don't add carrots as I have read here. It no longer becomes a latin dish. Now it is just a dish that you may throw what ever in the pot. If you what a stew than stick to a stew recipe.

I saw the throwdown show and thought the chicken and rice looked delicious so I made it tonight following instructions to a T and found that it looked better than it tasted.

The food tasted amazing, but even though it says it only makes four servings, it could actually serve around twelve hungry people. So, don't double or anything unless you are expecting an army!!!!!

This recipe reminded me of a trip we took to costa rica. Its not the same flavor, but close enough to bring back all the great memories. Its worth all the effort in making it.

The whole family enjoyed this dish. I jused a 7 oz jar of pimento stuffed green olives and did not use the picholine olives(couldn't find. A lot of flavor.

Tasty! I always put a twist on a dish to make it my own. I added chopped carrots, zucchini, stewed tomatoes and jalape?os. I also made juice from the jalape?os to give a LITTLE extra zip.

Simple, full of flavor, love it!
