I actually have not tried this but am trying to think of a easy way to cook chicken for a big beach party. I was thinking of doing the oven thing that morning or night before and grill them up when we get there to save time.... Help!

Sounds great and want to do this tomorrow for mothers day. But do I have to put it on the rack in my oven???? Can I use my Pampered Chef Stoneware?

I took a leap of faith and made this for a big reunion I was having. I didn't want to try and cook so much chicken on the grill at once and worry about it being cooked all the way through. This was perfect, start in oven, finish on the grill for a short time and the chicken got raves. So tender, so tasty on and on were the comments. I'm getting ready to make it again. I didn't get the rub & sauce recommended, I followed what another review said and just used something else. You should really put this in your recipe file!

This method for cooking bbq chicken is easy and delicious. The slow cooking method really retains the juiciness of the chicken. It is also not a messy recipe. I just purchased a new grill and would like to keep it that way.

Also try Butch's ribs recipe. You can substitute any dry rub and bbq sauce if you are not willing to pay $10 each (including S&H for the rub and sauce from Butch.

The whole family loved this one! At the bottom of this recipe, there are a couple of suggestions. The apple juice is a great touch. I had a different brand of BBQ sauce and spice rub than recommended and it still came out fabulous. This chicken came out very pretty and moist. I will never simply toss my chicken on a grill again!
