My first attempt at Chicken Fried Steak at home. I did skip the bacon, only because I didn't have any on hand, and the gravy was still great. The seasoning was just right. My only problem - the breading kept falling off the steaks. Other than that, it was fantastic - I will definitely be making this again.

I have to agree with other reviewers that the south does not begin and end in Georgia. All my southern life I have only had white gravy chicken fried steak.

This recipe was easily the winner in my book. I have been long seeking a great chicken fried steak recipe and I now have found it with Bobby's recipe. I did the recipe as it was presented on the show without alterations and I must say as much as I like the bacon, I think in the future I will skip that part.

    Good job Bobby.

My first attempt at Chicken Fried Steak, the hubby is begging for me to make this one again. I pounded out the steak as others had suggested, it was wonderful.

Made this last weekend, best chicken fried steak I have ever made. Easy to do, tasted so much better using round steak, and pounding it out to tenderize it. The standard "cube" steak that I have used in the past has always fallen apart and simply made a huge mess. This was a winner for the whole family!! Thanks Bobby!!

I am from Texas- the king of Chicken Fried Steak, and this recipe rocks! I made this for my family and they all raved about it and said it was the best chicken fried steak they had ever had.

Excellent dish. tripled recipe and was perfect for my son's 18th birthday party. Cook the bacon over medium low heat to ensure that the gravy will be a beautiful creamy white color.

How Bobby didn't win this competition is beyond me... really though, this was easy and tasted great. It was so good, I made it with chicken the next day.

I've tried many recipes for chicken-fried steak, but none ever tastes the way I want it to taste. This one is the best! I pounded out a New York strip steak because I had one in the freezer. It had really perfect texture and taste. I loved the bacon in the gravy. Thanks!

My wife was feeling sick so I thought I would make her some good comfort food. She really liked it. I know I will get more requests from her on this one.
