Ive been reading the reviews and the recipe tells you to use (3 9x13 pans. If you are only using 1 that is why it spills over. I have been making this ever since I saw it on TV I bought her whole cookbook. My family loves when I make this I even freeze it and mail it.

This Mac was beyond decadent. Quite the expense but well worth it. I would definitely alter the recipe quite a bit the second time around... Use 2-3 Eggs and cut the amount of cream to 4 cups and possibly use 1 stick of butter. As many others said I agree quantity is far too much for a 9 x13 pan. I split the dish into two different baking dishes.... The Dish was extremely filling!! (I added Hickory Bacon as a Garnish and it was a nice addition

This mac n cheese was a hit at our friend's Easter BBQ. I did modify it a tiny bit. First of all...this will never fit in a 9 x 13 pan. Buy a deep lasgna throw away if you are going to a BBQ or 2 deep 9 x 13 if you want it to look pretty. I only used 4 eggs but will try 2 eggs next time. I also used the whole pound of Velveeta. Everyone loved it. It was super easy and I grated all the cheese with my food processor the day before. I also took out the butter and half and half and Velveeta about an hour before I mixed so it would be easier to melt. Must try. Yum!!!!

The one thing I found when attempting to purchase the ingredients is that it is very costly. So, I had to cut corners and didn't really get to experience what the actual end result should taste like. But, since I'm a down-home flavored mac-and-cheese lover, I'll try it again when I'm not having to purchase a lot of other things.

Oh, my gosh! I died and went to heaven. Use lasagna pans instead of baking dishes.

I'm just settling down to watch the Coca-Cola 600 Nascar race after spending the day making this dish on this Memorial Day Sunday. Talk about the perfect compliment to some great ribs and lots of white wine.....but seriously, this was an awesome dish. If you think it's going to be anything like Mac and Cheese in a box, you will be very pleasantly surprised. The recipe is very simple but it takes a long prep time because all the cheeses have to be shredded. Thank goodness for my food processor! I shredded the cheeses earlier in the day and placed in a bowl in the frig until I was ready to add them. I also kept the four cups of cheddar separate. Be prepared to use a large pan to mix the ingredients in then transfer to whatever you plan to bake it in. Enjoy!

@Melinda80 I've done that before myself! After reading your review & others I decided to look at the video, again. I also heard Delilah say "a half a stick" she may have meant half a box ? wh/is 2 sticks. Noted use of DEEP dish lasagna baker & more in bowl. So, used a 9X12 & 9X9 deep dishes tried not to over bake to keep flavor. Worked Great! YUM! Thanks reviewers!

Followed directions to a "T" and it came out all over the oven. Used a 9*13 baking dish and everything. It called for way too much and not enough room. Oh well, I guess I could try it again and hopefully give it a better rating.
