Do not make this if you are generally not a fan of eggs and are sensitive to the taste of them. My mac and cheese turned out more like a quiche. I followed the recipe exactly as it states (only I halved everything, but I really should have read the comments first. I would have used egg whites only, or found a way around the eggs altogether. Maybe I didn't beat them well enough? I could definitely see them in the finished product. The cheese part of this recipe is really nice... very cheesy. My biggest complaint is how much this ended up costing me. The expense of all that cheese added up pretty quickly. This is definitely a special occasion dish and not a "mac & cheese night" kind of dish.

I am not fan of baked macaroni, but this is the worst ever! The cheeses are expensive and it just wasn't worth it. No where near creamy enough for me.

I made this recipe for a block party on my cul-se-sac and was pretty darn good. My one criticism is that after it started to cool down all the cheese started to congeal. But the flavor was great and it made a ton of food so there was pleanty for everyone!

I am still learning to cook and my boyfriend tells me all the time that I still need a lot of help. I made this for him and he was absolutely floored how good it was and that I made it! It was soo easy too. Most cheeses now come pre-shredded so that was nice for me. I made an extra dish for my girlfriend that just had a baby & her whole family couldn't stop talking about how they've never had better Mac & Cheese before.

Repent! Not this Ash Wednesday!
This recipe for Mac & Cheese was a treat... I cut it in half and still had plenty, and enough for a second meal or lunch.
Outstanding,

I have made this recipe several times for my family, friends and they just loved it.
I've tried other recipes that were good, but didn't get the reviews that this one did.
Of course it's a lot of cheeses & eggs; but you all have a choice. Tweek it to your taste or try another recipe. There are thousands of other recipes out there!
This recipe yields the taste and consistency that we desire.
THANKS FOR THE RECIPE DELILAH!

I made half a recipe, thankfully. The whole egg thing makes no sense to me. The very best mac and cheese is the Delmonico restaurant recipe. Bar none.

Honestly, I was super excited about this recipe. We have been thinking about making this recipe for quite a while now and about $40 and a couple of hours later, we are a little disappointed. It tastes more like an cheese omelet than mac n cheese. The eggs are just a bit too overwhelming. If you want a creamy mac n cheese, go with a recipe that doesn't call for too many eggs.
