I saw these on TV and had to try it. I was never happy with my meatballs. I thought it was an easy recipe and the entire family loved them. I even made them for my parents and my dad is my toughest critic. He LOVED them and said he felt like he was at a real Italian restuarant.

I agree with one of the viewers above. These were delicious but needed more bread crumbs or more meat because they were too moist. As we all know, about half of the recipes written on Food Network are wrong. They always forget something or make the measurements incorrect. So, keeping that in mind, I'm sure the salt and pepper were left out by accident. Also, you are definitely going to have to either add more meat or more bread crumbs. Since I don't like that "bready" taste, I chose to add more meat. I made the recipe to the letter the first time around with the above corrections. They were wonderful. I do not care for the sauce at all. I will probably next time around cut down on the portion of the fresh herbs, because you tend to get a mouthfull of them and that's just not my taste.

These meatballs are moist, tender and juicy! The taste of the fresh basil, parsley, garlic, and romano cheese really shines through!! A recipe worth passing down another 100 years!!

I HAVE MADE A LOT OF MEATBALLS AND THESE HAVE TO BE THE WORST. I DIDN'T EVEN THINK THEY TASTED LIKE MEATBALLS! ENDED UP THROWING NOT ONLY THE MEATBALLS AWAY BUT ALSO THE MARONI SAUCE. HAVE NEVER TASTED ANYTHING SO BLAND IN MY LIFE. CHECKED THE RECIPE CONSTANTLY TO MAKE SURE I WAS FOLLOWING IT CORRECTLY, AND UNFORTUNATELY I WAS. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS RECIPE TO ANYONE. I'M NOT ONE TO GIVE OUT BAD REVIEWS BUT THIS WAS THE WORST.

this was a great recipe. the meatballs were so so tender and light, and the sauce was a good pairing...it just needed seasonings. LOVED this!!!

I loved these meatballs but they spread on the baking sheet and came out looking like a meatball cut in half! How did Mr. Maroni get a round meatball off a baking sheet?

I've made plenty of meatballs, and I tried this recipe since it was from Maroni's. I was really disappointed. Bad ratio of ingredients! The other food network celebrity chefs' recipes are much better, including Bobby Flays!

Notice there is no salt or pepper in this recipe. Don't forget the salt! Meatballs were very tender.

These meatballs were wonderful and very traditional in taste - I used 2 1/2 lbs of meat and increased all other ingredients proportionately - Fantastic!!!
