The flavor was good, but I it needed more meat or fewer eggs.

I also saw the episode and was blown away, however the back and forth preparation of Mike and Bobby made it dificult to follow the recipe. I will have to make the meatballs using Bobby's sauce.

This was a great episode, and I want to make Mike Maroni's meatballs. But.....you didn't post his recipe for the sauce! Mike, if you see this, please either post the recipe or send it to me at nannerb130@sbcglobal.net. Your restaurant looked adorable.

    Thanks.

For years I've been looking for a great (not good meatball recipe. I know that these things are subjective, but this was the meatball recipe I've been searching for-for over 10 years! I made one small change, I substituted Panko for the breadcrumbs. The four egg to one pound of ground meat ratio was something I've never tried, and wow--it sure made a difference!

In the future, if my wife and I have only adult guests over, I may throw in some chili flakes for heat, but other than that I look forward to duplicating this recipe for years to come! Thanks again Mike for posting the recipe after the show.

All well and good but try this.

Insert a large sliver of crushed/sliced garlic in the center of each meat ball, then bake, then sauce. Oh WOW!
