maybe I'm losing it, but I don't see any directions for making the potato part of this recipe. Big omission! The only reason I'm giving it any stars is because I have to in order to post...

My husband and I both agreed.. the vinaigrette was good but we both weren't fans of the potatoes. They weren't terrible and we ate them so we wouldn't waste them, but I probably won't be making this recipe again. Sorry Bobby, this one just didn't do it for us!

So easy to make and a pleasure to eat. Even my boyfriend, who doesn't like sweet potatos, loved these. Wonderful flavor.

I also was unable to find ancho chiles or chili powder, so subbed regular chili powder with some cayenne for a very mild kick. The only challenge I had was in par-cooking the sweet potatoes. I did them in the microwave on the potato setting, figuring that they'd still be a little underdone. That worked out to be true for half of them, but the other half (the smaller ones got cooked through. Not Bobby's fault (although details on that piece would have been nice! It's something I'll need to work on. The spice rub is delicious. I have quite a bit left over, so I'm already thinking about what else I can use it on. Pork comes to mind immediately, but I may experiment with some other veg. The green onion vinaigrette is simply amazing. I don't even like green onions very much - especially not raw! The cilantro and honey tone down the onion flavor just enough.

I'm glad I tried this early in the grilling season!!!

Used this as a side dish, prepared without skewers.

We didn't have ancho chili powder, used supermarket chili powder.

When par-cooking the sweet potatoes, be careful not to cook to finish. Potatoes should be slightly firm.

    Flay never fails!

Wow! The sweet potatoes were delicious on their own but accompanied by the green onion vinaigrette, the dish was over the top. We could have made a meal of the sweet potatoes on their own. I couldn't find ancho chili powder, but I did find dried ancho chilis and ground them in my spice grinder. Worked great.

I used a little less ancho powder and a little more brown sugar, and these were delicious. They will be a staple for our summer grilling.
