I was just about to make them, but from some of the reviews I'm not.

I made these for a Packers game. This was fun and turned out great! I first thought it looked a bit involved and thought it might be difficult; but it wasn't and we really enjoyed them!

I gave this recipe 5 stars allthough they were a complete un-eatable failure.lol I must have done something wrong.According to the other reviews this is a great recipe so I am guessing it is me and I can't rate it bad.I thought when I shaped them they might need another rise but I followed what the recipe said. They are doughy and taste like raw dough and soda. They turned out pretty but weigh very heavy and when I threw them out it sounded like a cannon went off.My lil dog barked.lol I will try again but do a second rise.I am out of yeast now so maybe tomorrow I will try to make them right. My boyfriend saw them on the counter and asked if he could have one.I said I don't think you will like them but go ahead. One bite and he was looking for the garbage can.

I have made these twice now, once with the egg wash and once without. My personal preference is to not use the egg wash as I prefer it not to taste like eggs. The queso was ok but not exceptional enough to make twice. The pretzels however are fantastic. I learned the first time not to flour my surface before rolling out the pretzels because then they won't stick together when you twist them.

My boyfriend and I just made these together and they were very easy! We took the advice to only boil one at a time. Otherwise we wouldn't change a thing!

I will definitely make these again. The dough was very easy to work with and form into pretzels.

Imschadel- I believe you had problems because you used wax paper which cannot withstand the temperatures like parchment paper.

I had a problem with my pretzels sticking to the wax paper but I think I messed that up by putting them on their before I boiled them, I must have compromised the cooking spray. Even though I had to cut the bottoms off, the pretzels are still great! I made the poblano sauce, I didn't love it but again, I didn't know how to skin the pepper til I messed one up and had to throw it away so I only had half the amount called for. I will definitely make these pretzels again, with less mistakes :
