Have you ever noticed how real recipes provide precise, useful information to guide the cooking process? Most I've seen actually list the ingredients needed for the dish. Not the case with this puppy. What we've been offered here is about as useful as (a slay pig, (b apply heat, and (c eat.

This disaster may well have turned me off to this throwdown business for all time. The basis for the show is pure BS, like the contestants are truly surprised by having Bobby appear out of nowhere? Worse yet, it's clear this professional chef could cook rings around most of his competitors, yet he rarely ever wins. Come on!!

Food Network would be well advised to revisit their evaluation of the viewing audience. It's beginning to look like they think we'rej ust brain dead twits...or worse.

I was surprised to see the recipe added to the episode. Usually the "throw downers" don't give out their "secrets". It seems a bit insane; Then I read the recipe....there is no recipe....and food tv actually gave them credit for the recipe that nearly everyone on the planet has used since they were children.
    Why?
    Why post it?
    Why bother?
and WHY OH WHY OH WHY give any single person credit for THAT?
I'm nearly 50 my mom used apple juice and my grandmother used apple vinegar with dry rub and a good piece of pork. How oh How oh How is what is posted on this site qualified as a recipe?????

I don't get it. they show a spot where she is giving the ingredients for her dry rub and then doesn't put it on the site. what's up with that?
Why agree to do the show?
    honestly
I had liked this show but at this point I can't find a reason to bother.
