this is absolutely the crowd favorite. I found that because this is such a basic stuffing recipe, it really needs your own spin. I ditch the bourbon, didn't see a need for it what with all the liquid from the stock.I add tons of celery, yum! don't forget to get the absolute best bacon your butcher has to offer.none of that whimpy thin stuff, use the good HUGE slab of bacon cube it and work all the drippings out. also add the all of the bacon in! it's thanksgiving so you can spare yourself the grief after all right? after adding the onions to the drippings, i found that instead of adding the actual rosemary into the stuffing, i just let it release its natural oil into the bacon drippings. after about 20 minutes, toss it b/c the texture is completely unpleasant! use your creativity and your sense, there is absolutely nothing intimidating. ps. don't use all of the chicken stock! it makes it into a bread pudding : good luck!

I love this recipe. Very easy to make, of course you have to use your instinct in the kitchen, if you don't have a clue it might not work the first time.
I make it every year and this is my fourth. My family always complements me on it.

This was my first thanksgiving dinner and honestly it was a waste of time/money and energy. After all the preparation, I gave my husband the honor to taste this stuffing and yea he almost died but of how disgusting it was! I was just lucky I didn't but in my turkey, so i head out to the only store that was open at 1:45am (walmart super center, to buy new ingredients for ANOTHER stuffing recipe. Which turned out GREAT everybody loved my turkey and my stuffing.
THIS RECIPE ALMOST RUINED MY FIRST THANKSGIVING DINNER!!!!!!!!!

I am not at all thrilled with this recipee. I ended up throwing it out as it was a waste of time and money. I couldn't even stand the smell of it...there was nothing good about this recipee. My advice...don't waste your time or money. I am really disastisfied as I was expecting a much better turnout, and noone in my family would eat it that is the sad part.

I have been making this stuffing for 4 years now. It's amazing. People that complain that it's too soggy are just adding too much of the liquids. Add the liquids SLOWLY until the stuffing reaches YOUR PERSONAL consistency. Some people like it wet, some like it dry.
I add sage and celery to my version, and I also make it with Challah bread.
This stuffing gets rave reviews each and every year. I love, love, love it.

This is an AWESOME stuffing. I made it for thanksgiving and it was so good that I made it twice more just because. The best way to get this mixed is to use your hands and just dive in. My husband always wants extra bacon in his. The different breads used give this a unique taste. I found my self eating it cold out of the tupperware all the next day.
