- 1 1/2 pounds juicy tomatoes, cut into wedges
- 1 tablespoon crushed garlic
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 3 tablespoons red wine vinegar
- 1 red onion, cut julienne
- 1/2 cup chopped fresh basil leaves
- Salt and pepper
Mix all ingredients in a salad bowl. Toss gently and season with salt and pepper. Serve at room temperature family style.
