This recipe (slightly altered was made for a crowd of 16. The habenero were cut to two and the scotch bonnets were omitted. More chili powder was added (about 1/4 cup

The recipe is not for those who are sensitive to spicy heat. Most of the reactions were favorable with only a couple that thought the pepper heat overpowered the flavor of the other ingredients.

We will make this recipe again. We served with crackers, corn chips, tortilla chips, hotdogs, cheese, and sour cream. The chocolate really works to cool the heat.

Great for tailgating and cold winter days.

This receipe is versatile for heat levels and has the best mixture of textures and flavors. I can't EVEN begin to tell you how worth the time and energy this chili is. It is a little spendy, but trust me, save up and make it ASAP. It makes something like 8 pounds and my husband and I refused to share the first batch with anyone. Maybe they will get luckier this time.
