This BBQ sauce is pretty good. I made a couple of exeptions to the recipe, only added half the garlic, as that was all I had, added no water, but instead a bottle of Coors Light. While it's a good sauce, it still doesn't have the flavor I was hoping for. Since it made such a big batch, I can experiment with it and will probably add some ground chipotle pepper, yellow mustard and a bit of liquid smoke (I know, a barbeque cardinal sin. I'm looking forward to putting in on some pulled pork tomorrow!

I just made this sauce...it is delicious. I will follow some of the reviews the next time...cutting down on the garlic and chili powder and will use beer instead of water...just want to see if its any better than the original recipe.

A little bit disappointed at this receipt. I watched this episode and couldn't wait to make this, but it wasn't thick enough, and way to tangy, not the kind of BBQ sauce that I like.

Was watching the show and saw the segment for the bbq sauce and decided I wanted to try it. I printed off the recipe and saw that some posters said the recipe was different than on tv. Since I recorded the show, I replayed the segment and compared what was presented on tv to the written recipe. They matched!! the water quantity is mentioned in both formats and directions for cooking are the same. I have not tried the recipe, but based on the reviews and ingredients it sounds wonderful. Since I had to give a star rating I went with the 5 as most people rated it that way. Also, Joseph made the comment that the sauce keeps for a long time in the refrigerator. Hope this helps clear up some questions.

I have tried the recipe. It is good, not the best I ever had Lot of ingredients compared to other recipes out there. Will keep it in my file though. does keep nicely in the fridge.

I made this recipe which I thought was really good. However, I am from St. Louis and we use beer a lot when making our sauces. So the second time I made this, I swapped out the water for beer and the sauce was amazing. I will only be making this sauce with beer from now on. Also, I did cut back on the amount of liquid, but everything else I left the same.

This sauce is awesome ! Iread the reviews and followed the advice. I cut the minced garlic to 1/4 cup.The chili powder I cut to 1/4 cup and I cut the Chipotle puree to 1 Tablespoon of Chipotle salsa. Last I only added 1 cup of water. The result was a potent velvety tangy sauce. We are using this in a BBQ cookoff this weekend. Stay tuned for how we did.

This BBQ sauce is amazing. I wrote down the recipe straight off the tv show so I was afraid I might be missing something or we really were not given the whole this. But they were telling the truth... What an AWESOME SAUCE! It does make alot but I just gave some away. Next time I might skimp a little on the water just because I prefer a thicker sauce... But again I have to say..YUM! And I tried it with the skirt steak... What a hidden gem... Skirt steak is the way to go.

Recipes for BBQ sauce exist. BBQ sauce in glass/plastic bottles...retail grocery store ... exist. This recipe makes a final and delicious sauce that has a flavor that I and 10 of my 13 grand kids liked ... on both pork ribs and hot dogs!!! I encourage anyone committed to BBQ sauce to try this one. Any modifications on repeats...please share with us on foodtv site. Thanks. Annie , Fremont , CA

Made this sauce sat morning. Let it simmer for a few hours. Made the whole recipe. It was easy and amazing. One of the best i have ever had. Makes a lot. But I jared it up and gave it to friends. They also loved it.
