This is the best baked bean casserole that I have found!   My husband took to his hunting club for dinner and they all wanted the recipe!   Did not change a thing! item not reviewed by moderator and published
My husband and I LOVED this recipe. Also love the idea of adding chopped hot dogs before baking. I cooked very crisp bacon and held it aside. Only added it when I pulled the casserole out of the oven by sprinkling liberally over the top. That way it stayed crispy. I would recommend baking the dish at 325 and not 350. It was boiling rapidly when I pulled it out at 350. I don't think this is necessary. This is super easy to put together and super delicious. I will make it many many times. What a great dish for Saturday Night Beans & Franks. item not reviewed by moderator and published
Great tasting! Easy to make. I used as main course. Will definitely make again! item not reviewed by moderator and published

This dish is a hit in my home!! My husband could not stop talking about how good it was the whole time he was eating. I followed the recipe to the letter and added one additional ingredient, cut up hot dogs. I put the hot dogs in just before sliding the dish in the oven. My husband said he wouldn't change a thing. Thank you for the great recipe!!! item not reviewed by moderator and published
I have made a few times now because family always request. The only change i made was that i used pinto beans instead of pork and beans. I drain the beans before adding. Came out perfect, not runny. item not reviewed by moderator and published

My boyfriend just made this last night...it was delicious~we both loved it! He made it just as written, baked it...came out perfect, not a bit runny or liquidy as reviewer below experienced. We ate it as the main dish, (it's plenty substantial with the ground beef in it), with just some crunchy french bread on the side. It's a keeper we will be making again and again! Thanks Trisha! item not reviewed by moderator and published

So easy to fix. I make this by request on almost every camping trip we go on. We camp about every 2-3 weeks each summer. So tasty, kids and adults love them. item not reviewed by moderator and published

Loved this recipe. Great for a potluck. I did add chopped jalapenos and some green hot sauce. It was great. item not reviewed by moderator and published
I made the full recipe and we will have leftovers for days, will half the recipe next time. Next time I will not use as much hamburger or add another can of beans, to much meat for us. Also, I suggest using a little hot sauce or pepper just to wake it up a little bit. item not reviewed by moderator and published
We made these the very next day...they were easy and tasted great! All of boys said "this is a keeper recipe!" item not reviewed by moderator and published
I planned on making a different pulled pork recipe when I saw this episode. I wasn't sure if this casserole would be overkill. It was fantastic! So glad I went for it.... this dish was so much better than anything else in the meal. I can't wait to try Trisha's pulled pork. item not reviewed by moderator and published
Baked beans with a kick! Really a great dish on it's own. We had it tonight with sliced tomatoes from our garden! item not reviewed by moderator and published
This was an easy dish to divide in half for just my hubby and I. May add a bit more BBQ sauce next time. Delish! item not reviewed by moderator and published
I LOVE the use of canned pork and beans! Time saver! This casserole is delish and easy, and was a hit at our BBQ. I added a little chorizo I had left over, and it was great. : item not reviewed by moderator and published
Sweet and runny. Followed the recipe as written. item not reviewed by moderator and published
It is a little on the sweet side, but I didn't think too sweet (and I don't like things too sweet, prefer savory dishes)...but I bet you could tweek it to be less so by decreasing all the sweet ingredients like the brown sugar and even the ketchup. As for the runny aspect, bake it uncovered, maybe let it set up for while before serving, drain some of the beans liquid? item not reviewed by moderator and published
I found this review very helpful for my luck with this recipe. Letting the dish sit for a longer time took the runny aspect away. Thanks again. item not reviewed by moderator and published
