    I have been making this same recipe for decades using walnuts--any nut will do. So addictively good. A bit labor-intensive only bc of sev'l steps in the process of making them, but I now make life easier by making the dough and the filling a day before I want to bake them--then I assemble and bake them the next day in a jiffy. By the way, mix the chopped nuts into the egg mixture, it saves a step when assembling. It all goes into the same place anyway.

    This is such a great recipe! I would give it more stars if I could... Thrisha I am so glad you are doing this, it is so wonderful seeing you with family and friends making these wonderful recipes. I love those asparagus bundles! I have watched you since your first show and I cannot waut to see what all you have in store.

    I like that there bite size,easy to make.Eating them makes me think of my mother in - law whom I loved very much! It's also great to to box and give to friends.
