I loved this, it was so delicious! My husband doesn't like chicken pot pie because of the veggies so this was perfect! Veggies on the side.

This came out Amazing! I used a 13x9 dish and used 2 cans cream of chicken with herbs. Doubled the biscuit topping as well.
I also rubbed butter on top when it came out of the oven and it was so good! We loved it so much we are having it again this week. Thanks for this simple and delicious recipe

THIS RECIPE WAS EASY AND DELISH. I HAD COOKED CHICKEN BREAST IN THE OVEN THE NIGHT BEFORE NOT KNOWING WHAT I WAS GOING TO DO WITH IT. I REMEMBERED WATCHING TRISHA COOK THIS CHICK PIE. I HAD EVERYTHING I NEEDED IN MY PANTRY. THATS 1 OF THE GOOD THINGS ABOUT THIS. AND 2, ITS EASY. I THINK THE NEXT TIME I MIGHT ADD SOME PEA'S OR A VEGGIE. THIS IS A KEEPER IN MY HOUSE. ITS A RAINY DAY LAY ON THE COUCH FOOD. MAKE SURE U PUT A PAN UNDER IT OR U COULD EVEN GO WITH A 4QT DISH. GOOD JOB TRISHA....

This is a good recipe and one to keep in your back pocket for emergencies. I made it using 2 cups of chicken and 1 cup peas, carrots and potatoes. I also added a little poultry seasoning. I made it for my husband and mother and they loved it. One thing that I might change is to use a more shallow casserole dish. I used a rather deep one and the crust came out more like a dumpling. Still good...but, next time I will use a dish that will allow a thinner crust. For the buttermilk...not easy to find where I normally shop. However, I found powdered buttermilk and it worked great! Also, the serving size for 6 would be consider moderate.

I've been following Trisha's Southern Kitchen on Food Network. This recipe is delicious, simple, comfort food just as Trisha said. I made it to recipe instructions and it turned out beautifly. One plus to this recipe is that it uses basic ingredients you most always have on hand. I used her trick to add vinegar to the milk in place of buttermilk. I have fussy eaters, so I served the veggies on the side. I will definitely be making this again.

I fell in love the first time I made this. Easy, flavorful comfort food. I've always added peas/carrots to this and it's loved by everyone. The key is to let it rest after coming out of the oven (I recommend 10mins. This is now a regular around my house!

My husband loved this alternative chicken pie! The biscuit top was a wonderful change to the standard! I will be adding this one to the regular rotation at my house.
