I made the Biscuits this evening along with the Chicken Pie, which was delicious. I had the same problem as someone else had posted, the Biscuits did not rise! I followed the instructions "to a tee". They were tasty, soft, BUT did not RISE. They were almost flat..
I am an experienced cook and feel maybe they needed something added to the self rising flour..If someone else has a solution I would appreciate it.
    Thanks, Linda

I hate to say it but these have replaced my treasured grandma's biscuit recipe I've used all my life. They are easy and delicious! So simple and just light tasty.... everything I really want out of a biscuit!

I make these a couple times a month and they always turn out perfectly. You can use regular milk, too or oil, lard, butter, or any shortening. I can't image them not rising. Mine always have.

This tasted like I remember my moms tasting. I gave it only 3 because I thought that it needed a little more salt and baking powder. Very good tho will make again with some minor adjustments.

These biscuits are delicious! My nine year old would have them everyday if she could. If you don't overwork the dough they will melt in your mouth. Definitely a keeper!

I used the self rising flour & followed the directions, very easy indeed. I am an experienced home cook but was very disappointed in these biscuits. They did not rise instead they were flat certainly not as shown on the show, could not pull them apart to butter. Very disappointed
