Made this 2 nights ago. Followed exact recipe. Came out flat, dry and didn't have enough peaches in it. The hour cooking time is too long, the edges were hard and slightly burnt. Threw it out. The recipe should not be called a cobbler it looked and came out more cake like a cobbler should be somewhat juicy under the crust. Will never make again.

I made this for my husband who loves Peach Cobbler, I changed up this recipe a little bit by adding 1 tablespoon of vanilla and some Cinnamon sugar. I also sprinkle Cinnamon sugar onto the top of the batter before baking. It was simply yummy! Next time I will try this with fresh poach Peaches and Blueberries.

Loved it! I too am use to using a pie crust etc but I saw Trisha make this and I've been looking for this recipe!! It was awesome. I used a 13x9x3 (? pan siz and I was making two to take to my son's school so I used 3 cups of each, a little cinnamon/nutmeg and the mixture tasted great and when it cooked up it was delicious!! I think I could have used less flour (although it baked up like a cake around the peaches so beautifully, I probably could have gone 2 and a half and I used two 29oz cans of peaches (I like it peachy and the folks at his school loved it!! I'm so glad I saw the episode, Trisha is a great addition to Food Network!

Have lost my fear to make a cobbler and fresh whip cream. I can actually remember the measurements for future cobblers.

I did not have 2 cans of peaches so we used 1 can peaches and 1 can pears. Only change to the recipe I'll make is we would like more fruit to cobbler ration. Next time I will use 3 cans of fruit and the juice of 1 can as the recipe says. Also think I might put a drop of vanilla in the whipping cream.

    GREAT JOB, Trisha!

Well, I made this abt an hour ago. Not the peach cobbler recipe I was looking for. To give you some background, I am African American with parents from the deep south (Tennessee. This cobbler is 360 degrees different from what my mom makes. I knew I was in trouble when 45 mins into the cooking process, I peaked in and saw that the crust didn't look like my moms; she uses fresh pie crust dough. Plus, I looked over the reviews and added vanilla, a pinch of salt, cinnamon, and a bit of lemon zest. Even with these additions, I have to say that moms "goop" is more flavorful. So why not just use my moms recipe you ask? Because its hard to get recipes outta her...she uses a pinch of this here, a pinch of that there. I need to be standing over her and letting it sink in as she prepares it, which I guess I'll do because this is not true southern cobbler, although yes, it is easy. I'm going to talk to my mom and find out her "secret."

For those of you who's cobblers turned out flat: either you used AP flour instead of self-rising flour, or your self-rising flour is old and needs to be replaced.

Very tasty and easy. I added cinnamon to the flour mixture. Next time I will add additional peaches. A great go to dessert.
