Very tasty and easy. I added cinnamon to the flour mixture. Next time I will add additional peaches. A great go to dessert.

Obviously, a very simple recipe. You can't beat the prep time of 5-10 mns, depending how fast you move in the kitchen : It's also delicious! Truly a great, little recipe to keep on hand when you want a wonderful dessert with friends and family. I have made it twice in as many weeks and plan to make it many more times :

My husband says that this is the best cobbler he has ever wrapped his lips around....he likes it! I added a pinch of salt and 1/2 tsp. cinnamon to the batter.

It came out flat and the butter was all over the top. I followed the directions perfectly! What went wrong?

My daughter and I saw this on your show. My husband was just talking about Peach Cobbler. She wanted to make it for him and it was a huge hit! It was so good! We've made it twice now.

I've made this cobbler for many years. After my mom died in 1983, I found this recipe from her best friend among her papers and started making it then. I've always added some vanilla extract to the batter and have always used fresh fruit for the filling, usu. several cups of blackberries, which we used to have out our front door in Seattle, or fresh blueberries or strawberries, cooked with Splenda or sugar in a little water until it makes a syrup. Then I strain the fruit over the batter and cook it. THEN I cook the leftover juice down until it's nice and syrupy and ladle that on the cooked cobbler, each slice, with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream. It's a litte more effort than using canned fruit, but oh so tasty.
I made this after seeing Trish's most recent show with two cans of pears in light syrup and it was very good; I added slivered almonds to it before cooking and some cinnamon and it was yummy.
