I've only tasted pecan pie once before and didn't like it very much but my brother in law loves it and asked me to make one for Thanksgiving. I picked this one because I'm a huge fan of not using karo syrup. I made the pie exactly to direction and it came out amazing. Mine also didn't set but seemed rather to be very "caramel-y" inside and was hard to cut. However it just added to the flavor and everyone RAVED about it. Can't say enough good about this pie. Oh and I started checking my pie at 50 minutes and it was set per the instructions.

I did not think this pecan pie was very good and I generally like desserts that aren't sugary. Will not make this again.

Perfect Thanksgiving Dessert! We have tested many Pecan Pie recipes through the years. Some have been too sweet, others too dry. One we nicknamed "pecan soup" because it never did set. Trisha outdid herself with this one. First, it is a breeze to make. I used a Pillsbury roll out crust as another time saver. Second, it is unbelievably delicious! It was not too sweet, but sweet enough (perfect balance. It was a huge hit at dessert time and was gone well before the traditional pumpkin. It will now be my "go to" pecan pie with two slight modifications. First, begin to check for doneness at 45 min. I waited until 55 min (as the recipe states and I believe I baked it 5-10 min too long. Second, next time instead of fanning the pecan halves in a circular pattern on top I will use chopped pecans. The halved pecans were a bit too much.

I made a couple of pies for a potluck. Everyone enjoyed it and I had people taking pieces home they enjoyed it so much! Needless to say there were no leftovers to take home. I picked this recipe because I didn't want to use corn syrup, and I enjoy Trisha's show.

I am southern girl who traditionally does not like pecan pie. It's just too sweet. However my husband and the rest of my family absolutely love it. This was my first time ever making it. Easy recipe, delicious, will be made in my house once a month! Oh, and I will be eating it with everyone else.

YOU GO GIRL!! This is the best pecan pie (my favorite that I have ever had. So easy and not overly sweet like the ones with Karo syrup. If you need another gramma, I'm up for adoption!!!

Easy to make and not so sweet that it makes your teeth hurt. Will make it again and again. Little ice cream melting on the top doesn't hurt either!

This pecan pie is very yummy and not to sweet or rich. I have been looking for a pecan pie recipe without using corn syrup and this is perfect. My husband loved it and he usually doesn't like pecan pie at all. I will remake again, again & again.

Made the pecan pie and it was very easy and very very delicious. It is the most delicious pecan pie I have ever has and no corn syrup. It is the perfect dessert and so buttery tasting, but no too sweet. I will make this pie always. Looking forward to more easy recipes like this one.
