THIS WAS SO EASY TO MAKE. IT WAS MOIST AND VERY GOOD! WILL MAKE AGAIN. I ADDED MORE ALMOND EXTRACT.

These are so good and could not be simpler. My 6 year old granddaughter loves to help make them and my son in law steals them. I have started doing double batches so he can take more home.

This is delicious! I took the advice in the reviews and heated up the middle of the skillet on the stove burner before pouring the batter in and mine came out perfectly with just the right amount of crust. I love almond extract so I added 1½ tsp. and it was just right for me. It had a brownie-like texture and is just a tiny bit chewy. Absolute perfection! Everyone loved it and I will make again and again. Great take-along dish.

Made this for my Easter dessert and it was a big hit. I will definitely be making it again and again. It was sweet and will take the recommendation of others and reduce the amount of sugar next time. I had to borrow a cast iron skillet since I gave mine to my son, but will try a pyrex dish instead next time. Will also try using pecans and vanilla extract instead of the almonds and almond extract. YUMMY. Thanks Trisha

i've made this twice so far and plan to make again tomorrow to take to work. it is delicious and easy too! i did find the center to be underdone so what i did the second time was when it was cooled i cut it into 12 pieces and then fanned it out so that there is space between each piece yet still in a circle. i then put it on a sheet pan and back in to a 350 degree oven for another 10 minutes. (i covered the edges with tin foil this solved the underdone center!!

I thought it was too sweet and was disappointed in the texture because it was soft and gooey in the center. But it was rich and had a nice almond flavor. I wonder if the recipe would work with less sugar.

I made this WHILE the show was still on because I knew I already had the ingredients & was so excited about it... It turned out SO GOOD! I even tried drizzling melted chocolate on it & it was even better. :

I was excited to make this when I saw it being made on the show. It looked so easy and sounded so good that I had to make it for myself. I have to say I'm a little disappointed with how it turned out. Had to use vanilla instead of almond extract since I didn't have any. It ended up tasting very boring. Maybe the flavor makes all the difference although another reviewer had said it was just as good with vanilla. I find that the term "Shortbread" is a misnomer. The texture is more like what I would call a "Blondie". Perhaps the recipe ought to be renamed.

I wanted to call Trisha Yearwood and tell her how wonderful this was. I broke out my cast iron skillet and made it Saturday before nightfall after I had seen the episode. We fought over the crumbs at the house. It was the greatest thing I've had in years. I'm taking it to my Easter Celebration!!
