Delicious. I only used 1 cup of sugar, substituted 1 TB amaretto and sprinkled maple sugar on top. Also sub almond slivers for slice. This is what I had in my pantry.

This is absolutely fabulous! Easy to make. I forgot to sprinkle the sugar on top, but that really doesn't matter. It tastes so-o-o good!

This is quick to put together and absolutely delicious. I have served it for dessert, tea and as a coffee cake. It works for all occasions. I used half vanilla and half almond flavorings. Skip the sugar on top, doesn't need it, sweet enough. Be sure to toast almonds, just the right touch.

This was a big hit!!! Very easy and taste REALLY good. Love Trish's recipes, she makes cooking fun and yummy.

I did want to ask if this can be baked in a regular cake pan.

I made this last night. It is awesome. I gave a piece to my coworker, and he literally just left my desk asking for the recipe. Super simple and awesome.

You absolutely have to try this recipe. I've made it four times in less than 2 weeks because everyone, wants me to bring this to our gathering. I had to try this after I saw Trisha bake it on her show. This was the perfect dessert to go with the Chicken Tortilla Soup. Thank you Trisha!

Great and easy! It has a cake like consistency (which she said on show but I really like the texture . Buttery with the crunchy almond topping! I had some vanilla sugar so I threw that on top. I will make this over the holidays for parties.

OK I admit it, the only reason I made this was because it looked so simple to make. And it was simple to make. I never expected it to be the hit of the Thanksgiving meal. I have had three request to make this for Christmas...oh, it was more like I was told I had to bring this at Christmas. And I have to make one for my sister to take to a work function. THIS IS THAT GOOD!!!!!
