This was an easy and simple recipe for candy! I made a 1/2 batch and used mini muffin cups with a pretty gold foil paper liners. I loved how easy it was and I filled all 36 of my mini muffin tin slots. I agree that the chocolate was done earlier than 3 hours, but mine peanuts never burned and the chocolate stayed in place until I stirred it. For my 2nd 1/2 batch the next day, I used less peanuts (1/2 dry peanuts and 1/2 regular peanuts plus chopped pecans, walnuts and some slivered almonds. I also used more dark chocolate and less white. I liked this mix better. Next time I will try the almonds and rice crispies as suggested. It's a fun and easy recipe.

This is going to be my new go-to for easy Christmas goodies! I did not put the peanuts in, I just did the chocolate and almond bark. At about 2 hours I stirred it all up and added almonds and rice crispies! It was delicious and it made a lot as I used the mini muffin size.

I know my crock pot runs hot. I tested it and not only is it hot but the low setting builds up a higher heat than high. So it is seriously jacked up bu it's new and the one before did the same thing. Given that I heated everything for about an hour, stirred everything, turned off the pot, covered and let it sit another 15 minutes. Melted, blended and dip able.

My opinion, no rocket science for the ingredient list. I used a mix of one pack of coating, one bag of semisweet, one bag of dark and half a bag of butterscotch chips, one pound of peanuts, one cup of craisins. Made 4 dozen cupcake liners with a medium scoop of candy in each.

Recipe similar to Rachael ray' fudge wreath.

This was an excellant candy recipe. First time I ever tried candy and I will do it again. Used the small liners and we had 105 small portions. I did follow the time stated but I will try it at two hours next time although we did not have burned peanuts. I will definatly make it again. Thanks Trish and thanks for the show.

Someone said earlier if they could give this recipe a negative 1, they would. Me, too!! What a waste of money!! I have a programmable Rival Crock pot, white pottery. After the first hour, it started to smell so good. After about 2 hours, I was wrapping presents in the next room, and it smelled like something burning. I too remember what Trisha said, and ignored it. I'm a pretty experienced cook, so this was against my better judgement. At 2 hours and 40 minutes, I couldn't stand it any more and checked on it. The peanuts were charcoal in the bottom of the crockpot, and the house REEKS!!! There's $20-30 dollars down the drain.....

I made this after watching Trisha make it on TV. I loved the fact that you could just put it in the crockpot and leave it. Mine turned out great. I used a small scoop to fill the cups which made it very easy and they were all about the same size. The next time I may add some dried fruit also.

I love this recipe! Made it just as written and turned out perfect. The hardest part was waiting for them to harden...they just smelled soooo good. They were worth the wait!

This is a great recipe. I cut mine in half and used mini cupcake liners, and it yielded around 36. I cooked it on low for about two hours and stirred it throughout the cooking time, and I had no burnt results as others are writing about. Also, I added the peanuts in at the end. I used a crock pot liner, so no mess to clean up afterwards. I will make this again.

The ingredients are good but the three hours is totally unnecessary. There is nothing to cook here so three hours risks scorching the chocolate and burning the nuts if your slow cooker isn't a good one. Simply use a double boiler to melt the chocolates (I made my own Almond bark a lot cheaper with white chocolate, almonds and lard, Then combine the melted chocolates with the nuts. Portion out and cool. You'll be done in less than 15 minutes! Love you still Trisha!
