I used a big pot in low for two hours and did good. No burned peanuts. I used white chocolate instead of almond bark and added almond flavor to the mix.

Super easy and super yummy! I took note of the other reviews and made some adjustments. I made a half recipe: 1 jar dry roasted peanuts (14oz, 2 squares of Bakers Chocolate, 1/2 bag of milk chocolate chips, and 1 package White Almond bark. Put on Low for 1 1/2 hours, then switched to warm for about 30 minutes. No burning and very creamy. I have a basic Rival crock pot. Used mini cupcake liners, using my Pampered Chef scoop to fill with ease, and it made about 58. Will definately make again!!

Peanuts burned. I had a 7 qt black crock pot as well. I don't know if I will try again because it is too expensive to ruin.

EVERYTHING was burnt, and the whole house smells terrible. I am VERY disappointed because this wasn't cheap. In all, I think I just threw away $25-$30. Not happy at all.

Trisha I loooove your recipes usually, but this was also a bust for me :( this morning my 6 year old watched the program with me and begged me to add this to our christmas basket gifts and it was as the others put a burnt mess. I think it depends on the crock pot, so next time I will just do the double boiler method. I got nothin but love for ya girl so will continue to use and share your recipes : XXOO -Amy

ok first thinks first, the almond bark she is using is white chocolate used to make almond bark not almond bark itself. It says on the package "make your own ALMOND BARK". I used white chocolate chips because they didn't have that particular package at the store. I also have an allclad crockpot with a cast iron nonstick insert and it usually cooks things in half the time of the crockery type crock pots but not this time. I did as instructed and on low it took 6 hours to melt all the chocolate but did not burn the nuts. I ended up with 46 wonderful chocolate cups of wonder that my friends will love. You can melt the chocolate in the crock pot or in a double boiler and just add the nuts, really the nuts are already roasted since it calls for dry roasted and salted nuts. This method of cooking is supposed to save you time but if you are scared of burned nuts or soggy nuts just melt the chocolate and add the nuts at the end.
