My 7 year old daughter watched the show yesterday and thought it would be great to make to take to her school Christmas party. I am glad we tested it first because we also had the peanuts burn in some areas and it made way more than what we needed. Anyway another problem was that the cups/liners were greasy so I need to make sure an use foiled cups and half the recipe and definitely cut down the cooking time. My husband suggested I roast the peanuts in the oven and just mixed everything in the microwave slowly. I probably will work with the recipe some because we all enjoyed the areas that did not burn and I will add marshmallows or other items to make a variety.

I watched the show, printed the recipe and followed it to the letter. I have never made such a mess! The peanuts burned black. I wasted a lot of expensive ingredients and I am not sure if I will ever get my slow cooker clean again. Right now I am so angry I may never even watch Trisha's show again!

Burned peanuts here as well, and chocolate probably heated too long. I stopped it after about 2 hours. Could salvage most, but worried someone will get a very burned bit I missed. I would have used blanched peanuts instead of roasted. I'd do stovetop method or microwave if doing it again.

My peanuts didn't burn but they were soft, almost mushy. The chocolate was grainy. Would adding some butter have made them smoother. I've thought of covering them with melted chocolate and pretending they were faux truffles. Disappointed -- wish I could have made only half the recipe.

I just finished making this and I'll admit I was a little hesitant after reading the negative reviews, but it worked fine. I have a very basic crock pot with two temps, low and high, that was chosen for it's ease of clean-up not bells and whistles. Layered everything in just as described put it on low and set a timer for 1 hour. Peeked at it and it looked ok. Set the timer again for another hour and peeked at it again. Looked pretty meltey so I poked the top layer to test it. It was melted. I figured if the top layer is melted the rest is good to go. No burned peanuts as others have described. The two hour incubation helped by allowing me to work on other things. It makes a ton, but on the up side, if you are gifting volume comes in handy. I think they got a bad rap. I'd make these again.

I just got through filling my last mini cupcake holder. These are amazing! I read some reviews yesterday to say to watch the length of time. At about 2 hrs and 15 minutes I could see that the white almond bark on top was soft and all the ingredients had shifted lower. I went ahead and took the lid off and stirred it all up. It was perfect. I don't have a fancy crock pot. In fact it only has a setting of low and high and I cooked it on low. It never smelled like it was burning. After tasting the first ones I went ahead and added some caramel bits to each individual mini cupcake holder. It helped to break up the peanuts and chocolate. It's very sweet and you only need one although you could eat more;-

I watche the show yesterday and had to try. This was an incredibly easy recipe. I had read other reviews that said the peanuts burned. I did not find this at all, So easy, just add the ingredients and push the button. I did alter the recipe somewhat and did not cook it on medium for the alotted time. I cooked it on medium for 2 hours, then decreased to warm setting for 90 mins,,and it worked great. My husband just finished licking the bowl before putting it in the sink. I can wait to share these at our Cookie Swap at Work this week. Thanks Trisha. I love your show and your recipes.

Watched Trisha make this on her show yesterday and we had to try it. It was very easy and we didn't have a problem with the chocolates or peanuts burning! It makes a lot of chocolates though, we filled up every muffin tin we could find.

If I could give it a negative 1, I would. My common sense told me this wouldn't work, but I followed the recipe because I saw her do it and she assured it would "smell like it was burning", I continued. I ruined some expensive ingredients and now have to start over with something else. Food Network: Keep the focus on food, not on famous personalities.
