I made this for Christmas presents for my family, friends and coworkers. They all loved it !!! The 1st batch was made in the crock pot w/ a liner, cut to simulate a pastry bag. The 2nd batch was totally made in the microwave, 1 minute at a time, until melted (much faster. Really, really good!!

This recipe is the best!! I have made something similiar that was a lot more difficult and not as tasty. For all those that had problems my question is/are:If you reaf the other reviews and still wanted to try it, why wouldnt you make the changes to prevent stated problems? When I read that there was a problem with burning (many of them, I kept my eye on the pot! It is unfair to slam a recipe for stated problems that you have control over it. Think!?

I am a slow cooker "junkie", I read a few of the reviews before making this recipe and I used one pound of salted and one pound of unsalted nuts, cut the cooking time to 1.5hrs, stirred and used Reynolds mini muffin foils, turned out perfect. I handed out as Christmas gifts to the neighbors and everyone loved them.
Without going thru 130 reviews, has anyone tried to add caramel? Thinking maybe of drizzling some over the top for an additional layer of flavor.

This is the best candy recipe I have found in all of my years of cooking! I have an oval Crock Pot, followed the recipe to a T, and had the best candy ever! My family loved it and many asked me for the recipe. I gave the candy to neighbors who also loved the candy. Thank you so much for a great recipe that has now become a family favorite recipe for years to come.

I am now convinced that all slow cookers are not equal! I have an oval Crock Pot and I followed the recipe to the letter...cooked 3 hrs on the lowest setting & did not stir until about the 2 1/2 hour mark - result was severely burned peanuts plus my house reeking of burned peanuts for a while. Convinced the recipe was good, I tried again a couple of days later and stirred every 20-30 minutes and stopped at the 1 1/2 hour mark when all was melted and blended. The candy turned out fabulous. I used mini muffin pans for bite-sized candies which I used for gifts and everyone has raved about them! I will use this recipe again and will experiment with different flavors of ingredients to adjust the sweetness and also try a dark chocolate version.

after reading the reviews about problems with the nuts burning, i just reversed the order of the ingredients. I put the chocolate on the bottom and nuts on top and stirred periodically. Turns out perfect. Very tasty my office inhaled them.

I didn't have any problem with this recipe, maybe other slow cookers are hotter...but it's too sweet, next time I will use the chocolate Almond Bark and use unsweeteded chocolate, oh and I used pecans because I don't like peanuts..I broke up a lb of the pecans and that was plenty. Very good...thank you!

I followed the directions and cooked for 3 hours without stirring. It burned and the candy was sugary. My friend has this recipe and she said you were only to cook it for 2 hours. I ended up throwing mine away. Someone suggested stirring after 1 hour and turning to warm for another hour. I may try that next year, but a little bit expensive to experiment with. I'll try some my friend made and see if I like hers. Wish I read the reviews first, but didn't think I should have to.

Followed the recipe exactly as writen and candy turned out great. Used an old RIVAL crockpot with heavy duty pot. Cooked 3 hours on low without stirring. Candy is very good - will definitely make again. I got about 75 pieces of candy.

So easy, loved it!!! Tips, use a crockpot liner. Cook on low for one hour, stir, than turn to warm setting for the remaining two hours. Stirring occasionally. Added a little vanilla extract and some sea salt to crockpot near the end of cooking. Used lightly salted peanuts; so i could better control the salt. Mine turned out great!!! Do not agree with cooking for the whole 3hrs on low without stirring. Also used a small ice cream scoop (1tbsp to scoop chocolate out into small cupcake liners. Got about 100 candies out of it!!! Will do again next year, but may add some caramel drizzle, yum!
