I saw Trisha make this & had to try it. I make peanut cluster the old fasion way . This was so easy. When I printed the recipe out I was supprize to see it only had 3 stars. I have learned you have to take the stars with an understanding not all cooks are equal. I was at home baking when it was cooking. I watched but let it cook the total 3 hr. If it started to burn the peanuts you would have smelled it. I also use mini muffin tins with my small spoop. When I saw how much it was going to make I just scoped it into the mini muffin papers on a cookie sheet. I gave it away with the recipe to friend and they all raved about them. You need to know you crock pot and be fair with your rating. Trisha's a great cook. Thank You Trisha for a different and easy way to make peanut cluster. C. Kitchen

So easy, and all the recipients have loved it! I couldn't find almond bark, so I used vanilla bark and threw some whole almonds on top. I call these Goobers on crack because they are irresistible and people rave about them. As for the timing issues some have had, I started on low then moved to high because I'm impatient! These were easy and fun, seem expensive because of the richness, and I definitely be making those for more than just the Christmas holidays. Thanks, Trisha!

Delicious and sooooo easy! I used chopped pecans instead of peanuts and substituted the almond bark with 2 bags of white premier morsels. I read a lot of the reviews before starting and was so glad I did. I only cooked them for 1 1/2 hours, stirred, added more pecans, and WOW! Good job trish.

REDUCE COOKING TIME BY HALF! My crock pot has 3 settings for heat level though it seems to only cook as "high" or "higher". I made this recipe using the so called "low" setting and I knew to check on it half way through and at 1 1/2 hours of cooking it was perfect. Any longer and it certainly would have burned. I followed everything else exactly as it states but if your crock cooks hotter than it should I suggest you cut the cooking time.

There should be a 0 star. I should have read the ratings before wasting my money for ingredients. Peanuts were burned after 2 hours on low. Recipe says 4 oz or 4 squares of Germans Chocolate. A 4 oz box has 16 squares. So do I use 4 squares or 4 ounces? Burnt mess was charred and stuck to crock pot, I literally had to chisel it out and use spray oven cleaner on it.

Not bad, but follow these tips. Put the chocolate in first, then the peanuts. Put the slower cooker on low and wait an hour. Stir and continue to check and stir until completely melted. I think it helps to break up the large bars when you first put it in. Stir until really well combined. I added a bag of toffee bits because I felt there were too many peanuts, and that the toffee would give it a bit more dimension. I started out filling the small muffin liners on a baking sheet, and sprinkled the tops with red, white, and green sprinkles. I then simply dropped them onto foil on my counter using my cookie scoop. They are really good, but I prefer making a candy called "cow pies" because it is much easier. You can google the recipe and give them a try.

I was so looking forward to this too. :( I followed the directions and it was a burned mess. The peanuts were black and even when trying to save some chocolate on top, it tasted burnt.

I am making these chocolates right now. It is so easy. I cooked on low for 2 hrs. kept checking to make sure nothing was burning. I am using mini cupcake wrappers so I can get alot out of this batch to give as gifts. Not sure how they taste yet because I don't like chocolate but my hubby and kids loved it. I ran out mini wrappers and had to use my regular size cupcake wrappers for the rest. This batch made 100 mini and 24 regular.
