Great snickerdoodle -- light with nice crispy edge. Yes, as other reviewers have said add 1 tsp. vanilla. Also I used two LARGE eggs (not medium -- because I don't buy medium eggs ; and that's fine. I baked at 375 -- because 400 just seemed like it would burn in my oven and they turned out great (9 minutes a little softer, 10 minutes a little crispier. Also I baked one sheet a time, which gave me time to prep one sheet while baking the other (I only keep two cookies sheets, and also meant I didn't have 'rotate the cookies sheets' midway through baking. And the recipe says makes 4 dozen? mm, I got 6 dozen and they were good sized cookies. These are the perfect cookies for 'cookies and milk' and I think would make a fine ice cream sandwich cookie.

Very tasty! Made this recipe for fun and now my coworkers go crazy for these every time! I added 1 tsp. of vanilla and that was my only alteration for this recipe. Best snicker doodle cookies ever! Addicting!

Delish! I love that, I'm not spending hours making a new recipe and my entire family loved them. I record Trisha's show and my days off enjoy watching every episode. It's a real cooking show that us normal folks can relate to and I enjoy seeing this superstar show that they are regular people too. Keep the great family recipes coming so i can enjoy them with mine.

They came out perfect considering that I didn't put the cream of tartar.

This is the first time I have made Snickerdoodles and I followed this recipe to the "T" . They turned out perfect, full of flavor & extremely tasty! I set my gas oven to 375 degrees for exactly 9 minutes because I flipped the trays around halfway through baking as this recipe instructs. Here's my 9yr old sons opinion: I really like Snicker doodles but these were the best.

Delicious! I was on a baking kick today, and needed a snickerdoodle recipe. This did the trick! I didn't have cream of tartar, but substituted baking powder instead (I guessed at the ratio... but they still turned out great! Easy to make, and my condo smells divine right now! (I expect the neighbors to come knocking anytime now!.
