Perfect Snickerdoodles! I followed other's suggestions of flattening them a bit. They baked just right and look just like the picture!

These are awesome. With other reviewers mentioning that they flattened theirs, I did so as well. I also used a melon baller to scoop the dough - everyone was perfect. After the first pan, I decided to roll them in the cinnamon sugar 2 times, I rolled the entire pan, and then re-rolled them again - they came out looking exactly as the picture - otherwise they were a bit to light. I will definitely make these again.

These are SO easy to make and pretty tasty. I think i will add a bit of cinnamon to the dough next time though. I was craving a little more of that cinnamon flavor. I also like to use butter instead of shortning. I will make these again I am sure.

Very good. My oven tends to run a little hot so I baked at 350 for 8 min. If they were slightly under done I let them sit on the cookie sheet for another minute. I slightly flattened mine and they came out perfect.

Snickerdoodles are my favorite and this recipe hit it home. Very easy to make. And when it says 8-10 minutes, err on the side of caution with 8 minutes. 9 minutes and I had dark brown bottoms.
But the reason I kept them in there was because mine didn't flatten. I have no idea why (I wish these comments let us reply so someone could tell me. Didn't affect the taste, just the appearance. No visually nice cracks. Little mounds or no, they were delicious. I ate 4 right out of the oven! :D

Delicious! This is the exact recipe my Mom has used for years, and now I do as well. Just made 5 dozen for a bake sale this morning! Be sure to watch the time in the oven. 8-10 min at 400 is exactly right, but mine are on the lower end of that range (never more than 9 minutes; usually closer to 8. Addictive!
