My wife made this recipe and it is wonderful. I do not eat sweet cornbread and as this recipe has no sugar added it is fabulous.

We loved this recipe. I did lower my oven temperature to 350 after it seemed to be browning too quickly. Probably just my oven. This recipe is a keeper! Trisha's Southern Kitchen is my favorite cooking show because most of her recipes use ingredients I keep on hand.

I already love cornbread but Trisha's recipe is so simple but so tasty. The best cornbread I have ever made! I totally will make this for Thanksgiving and Christmas. It is great for any side dish for anytime of the year.

The best cornbread I have ever made. I did add sugar to sweeten it up.

I was very disappointed. I have been making cornbread over 50 yrs and thought this looked interesting. It was too much batter for a 10 inch skillet, and had to cook longer than 30 min. It screams for taste. I think it needs salt and maybe a touch of sugar. Texture was more like moist cake.

I'm not getting why people think this is "bland"...it's cornbread, plain and simple. If you want "flavor", add herbs or jalapenos! As a great component to a hearty chili or beef stew, this is great. We loved it with our ham and beans!

Made this for my superbowl party. I thought it was light and fluffy but it definitely needed some sweetness. Maybe making some honey butter to put on it would help the blandness. I'll make it again but add sugar next time.

Very bland. I looked at this recipe over and over while making it and kept wondering if I was leaving something out. I may try again and add some sugar and salt and maybe some grated onion for flavoring.
