This salad is awesome. I've made this twice and the second time I replaced the sugar with Splenda in the dressing and no one noticed. Love the crunchies of the Ramon, sunflower seeds and almonds. As other reviewers suggested, though, next time I will cut down on the butter. Always receive kudos when I make this.

OMG this was the best salad we have ever had! Made it for Easter in New Mexico with family and it was so delicious we made it again 2 days later before we came home.

This was delicious! Served it to guests and they all had double helping. Agree with the other reviewers...no need for the extra butter...half would be enough. Also no need for all the sugar in the dressing...however the sweetness draws the sweetness out of the berries. Overall...Very yummy and easy to make...will for sure save this one!

FANTASTIC salad! Made it for a banquet and was gobbled up!! I did cut down on the sugar like the other reviews said (did a 1/2 cup and it turned out perfect. I also baked the topping for five minutes (making sure to stir frequently and it turned out great! Loved it and will be making it often!

OMG! Homemade dressing is the key to every dish (sauces, etc WATCH the cooking of the ramen noodles and seeds. I burned the whole tray; maybe not so much butter. The combo of flavors were supreme.
We also made the entire meal; Ham/Asparagus/shortbread!(oh we added garlic mashed potatoes

The salad was very good. My husband and I enjoyed the mix of flavors. It went well with the ham and asparagus--which I also made using Trisha's recipe. Great job Trisha!

This salad was soooooo good, made it for Easter dinner and it was a very big hit!! Thank goodness I made extra dressing and topping cuz I got up and threw another salad together 2 more times during dinner!!!!! Definitely will be making this again -- thinking its cool & fresh for dinner around the pool in the summer!

I loved the recipe, but I did make a few adjustments to reduce the calories. I only used 3tbls of butter to brown the nuts and noodles in the oven and then spread them on paper toweling to cool. I reduced the sugar in the dressing by approx 1/8th of a cup. Next time I am going to try replacing half the sugar with honey.
Very good and will put this in my salad rotation.
