Delicious!!! I had "chocolate gravy" 60 yrs. ago when I went with my girlfriend and her family to visit her grandparent in Caruthersville, MO. I went home asking to have it at our house, but no one knew how to make it. And it is so easy, and did I mention...DELICIOUS!!! Thank you, Trisha, for sharing with us. Love watching your show every Saturday morning.

I remember when grandma used to make this every saturday morning for me. I had to stand on my tip-toes just to get to watch her stir it in the pan. Precious memories that I now share with my grandson by making it for him. It brings back those warm fuzzies for me. Delicious!

I had heard of biscuits with chocolate gravy but never tried it. Wow! I had been missing something great. I fixed it for breakfast along with sausage gravy just in case. My family came into the kitchen and wrinkled their noses upon finding out what it was. Guess who came back for seconds? Everyone! I wouldn't change a thing. Delicious!

Growing up in South Carolina my mother adopted this recipe - or a very similar version - from a woman who was neighbors with my grandmother. Never thought I'd see this recipe again, let alone taste something so yummy that helped usher in a flood of memories from a great childhood in the 70's! Thank you Trisha and Tina for this SUPERB treat, as well as for the wonderful episode in which the two of you showcased this!

Trisha I just wanted you to know what a wonderful rush of memories I had when y'all made the chocolate gravy. My granny Morgan made that for us when we were kids. We all call it " sop chocolate". Not many people make it any more . That recipe has been a favorite in my family for more than a hundred years. You are a refreshing addition to the food network. Keep up the good work!

I grew up in Missouri eating biscuits and chocolate gravy on a regular basis. It's a tradition that I've kept up with my kids even though we live in Minnesota! When they bring their friends over it makes for some fun morning conversation when I put a bowl of chocolate gravy on the table. We like it with a touch more cocoa, but this is very good. Thanks for sharing!

This is just so simple and so good. Everyone loved it and it wasn't overly sugary. I made the mistake of making canned biscuits, knowing full well that I detest them. We ended up eating it with a spoon and making homemade biscuits instead! Thank you Tina for sharing this recipe with Trisha and all of us!

When I lived in McCormick, SC my friend's mom would make this, along with her homemade biscuits. We would place a spoon underneath our plate to keep the chocolate gravy at the bottom of the plate. Brings back so many wonderful memories. I am going to make this on Christmas morning at my nieces. Thanks for sharing.
