Omg! Delicious! Taste a lot better than I've had at restaurants! I used fat free half and half to reduce calories and fat and it was awesome!

This soup was amazing! My husband made it after we watched the show last week and we loved it. We had my parents over for dinner and they ejoyed it too. This soup has made it into my recipe book! Oh, and I'm a HUGE Trisha Yearwood fan. I've loved her for years and it is so fun to watch her on TV in the kitchen. Keep the great recipes coming!

It's difficult to rate a tortilla soup, relatively speaking, with an ingred list like this, versus authentic delicious tortilla soup that is not laden with butter and cream. This recipe is indeed perfect WITHOUT the flood of dairy, & we've prepped it both ways for comparison. I'd love to see chefs move away from using liquid dairy fat for flavoring, & rely on fresh real flavor more. Are chefs really using canned cream of anything soups anymore??

I have since made this soup twice since watching it a week ago. It's such a great meal and it makes A LOT! I did add a cup of cooked rice and 1/2 cup of hot sauce (my family likes it spicy. I also used a 14oz can of chili ready diced tomatoes instead of salsa. It's cheaper and it's got great flavor.

This is one of the best soups I have ever made. Easy to do and the favor is sooooo good. Having friends and family over for Halloween and this is what I'm serving.

Awesome! After reading reviews, I used 16 oz. of half and half and 32 oz. of chicken broth. The consistency was just right. To save time, I used rotisserie chicken and added chipotle chili powder for extra heat. Will be making this soup often!

I made this the other day. I thought some of the ingredients were a little odd but I wanted to try it anyway. My husband loved it, but I was some what disappointed. As I recall watching the episode, she put 2 cups of chicken broth and the cheese into the pot. The printed recipe calls for 3 cans of broth; that's a little over 5 cups. I was not crazy about the kidney beans. Changes I will make next time: less broth, less half and half, add some jalapenos, replace kidney beans with either more black beans or pinto beans, and maybe some more corn.
