I made this the other day. I thought some of the ingredients were a little odd but I wanted to try it anyway. My husband loved it, but I was some what disappointed. As I recall watching the episode, she put 2 cups of chicken broth and the cheese into the pot. The printed recipe calls for 3 cans of broth; that's a little over 5 cups. I was not crazy about the kidney beans. Changes I will make next time: less broth, less half and half, add some jalapenos, replace kidney beans with either more black beans or pinto beans, and maybe some more corn.

I was off to the grocery store after watching the show. I just had to try this recipe. Absolutely the best Chicken Totilla Soup that I have ever had. P.S. I love the show. Although I enjoy watching the other cooking shows (if I happen to catch one here and there, Trisha's show is the only cooking show that I have scheduled in my iphone to remind me when it is on.

I loved how creamy this soup was! I made this recipe for our Halloween dinner just like Trisha did on her show. It was absolutely delicious and a great choice for a cold rainy night. We like our food on the spicy side so we kept a bottle of Tapatio on the table. The whole family loved it and the leftovers made for a great lunch the next day. I'll definitely use this recipe regularly. Next time I'm going to try adding avocado as a topping! Yum!! Thank you Trisha!

I started this last saturday as soon as I finished watching the show. I had split chicken breasts that I roasted and then boiled the bones with celery and onions for the broth to use in this recipe. I didn't have any half and half so I used canned milk. We loved, loved this recipe. My husband and I ate this for several meals. I plan on making this for a meal when the family comes for Thanksgiving weekend. Thank you for this great recipe!!! Has anyone tried freezing this?

I am a huge soup lover, and this didn't disappoint! A few changes I made - I used a whole rotisserie chicken shredded, I added about 2 tsp of corn starch to thicken, and I added 1/2 tsp of cayenne. This is delicious - I'm serving it to my family right now!

I was actually very excited to try this recipe and I'm so sorry to say that is was a complete disappointment. I saw the episode on food network and read all the reviews and had very high hopes for this recipe. I am also a HUGE fan so I feel horrible saying that this did not live up to my expectations. I followed the instructions exactly as indicated and It tasted like a liquid taco. The whole family said it was a flop :( I've had chicken tortilla soup at several restaurants and have been looking for the perfect recipe and was hoping this would be it. Sooo sorry to say it was definitely NOT.
