This is very good and easy! I did substitute fat free half and half and it still came out very tasty.

First of all - I have NEVER written a FN review!! I saw the episode last weekend and decided to try it on Halloween. It was ABSOLUTELY the best Chicken Tortilla Soup I have ever had. I did take a shortcut by using a whole shredded rotisserie chicken (smile. I also opened a can of creamed corn by mistake - so I had to add that to the soup as well. For my big finish - I added sliced avocado to the top for presentation and because I love avocado in my chicken tortilla soup. The dish was a big hit and had people begging for the recipe. Thanks Trisha!!!

This was yummy! It was a little thin so I thickened mine with a little cornstarch. Also, it needs a little kick so I would add, medium salsa and/or 2 fajita seasoning packets. I also thought a can of rotell tomatoes with chilies would be good.

This was as BIG HIT at my house for Halloween...It will be our tradition as well to have for the family before we head out into the cold to trick or treat. Since I have a huge crew I did double the recipe. The only thing I did different was poach the chicken breast in chicken broth and a can of rotel tomatoes and a little cumin. Just to give the chicken another level of flavor. The depth of flaver was awesome and the ease of the meal was so so simple. I joked that the hardest part was shredding the chicken! LOL Thank you so much Trisha..You are an awesome cook...

I tweeked this one a little bit. Because some people thought it was too thin, I added about a tablespoon and a half more flour to the roux. It need a bit more kick so I added sliced jalapenos and even a little bit of juice out of the jar and a few crushed red pepper flakes. It turned out great!

Made this last night and it was very good. I thought it could use a little more heat from some peppers, so next time I will add some jalapeno peppers. Loved how easy and fast it was to fix.
