This is the best recipe. I make it even easier, which is hard to do. I use canned chicken - members mark brand from Sam's Club. I open 2 cans of that and pull it apart and throw it in. I am not a fan of canned chicken, but Members Mark is awesome! Thanks Trisha!! As always a great recipe!!

One of the best soups I have ever tasted. I tweak it a little with real cream and add avocado before serving.

This soup is fantastic; in fact, we will be having leftovers tonight. I did make a few changes in that: 1: Used 2 CostCo roasted chickens (breast only added 1 can diced green ortega chilis; used La Victoria Salsa Verde; used S&W Southwestern FROZEN corn mix that has bell peppers, corn and black beans; green onions along with the regular onion. I then used 2 cans black beans as well as 2 cans either white or pinto beans. The shredded cheese we added to the soup and when we served it we added a bit more shredded cheese along with chopped cilanto and green onions. This sould was fantastic and MUCH BETTER than what you get at the chain restaurants. This recipe makes a big pot of soup so be prepared to either share or have leftovers!

This is a great recipe! I was really surprised at how well it came out considering the ingredients are so simple. The only things I changed: added an additional can of corn, pan-cooked the chicken in corn oil instead of boiling. Everyone loved it. It is definitely a new soup staple!

Made this for dinner tonight and this recipe is definitely a stick to your ribs comfort food! I roasted a chicken earlier in the day specifically to use in making this dish, and I used some homemade chicken stock I had in the freezer, other than that I used everything else listed as specified. I did add some chopped cilantro more for color than anything, but it added a nice touch in the taste as well. Will definitely make this one again!

What a real crowd pleaser and kid approved recipe. My picky eight year old asks for this. The first time I made this was for a soup contest at work. It was a huge hit and so many asked for the recipe. FYI, it won first place. I modified the recipe slightly after making it a few times. I use shredded "store roasted" chicken, add a can of coarsely chopped green chiles and a little chopped cilantro before serving. I take this soup over the top with homemade tortilla chips. They are simple to make and so delicious. We put a few in the bowl and cover with soup. Add a few more on top with a dollop of sour cream, shredded jack cheese, a dash of hot sauce and a sprig of cilantro. This soup is absolutely a winner in my kitchen. Thanks Trisha for a great family pleasing recipe quick enough for a working mom to make on a busy weeknight and yummy enough for company. Sounds like a perfect recipe to me!
