Seriously?! Some of the comments below are so sad! So they left out showing how to make beer batter...LOOK IT UP! And you don't know what "cheesy mash (potatoes" are?!?! Here's a hint>>>potatoes with....um, cheese (probably grated parm.

I watched that particular episode of Diners, Drive Ins and Dives. I'm going to try these out tonight. Got a mess of turkey and stuffing. A little mash potatoes and a mess of gravy. I will serve them with the leftover sweet potatoes and squash I have from Thanksgiving dinner. Which by the way I did Emeril's Herb brined turkey recipe. That is the turkey my husband an son like. It's a new twist on Thanksgiving dinner. Something to do with all them leftovers. I got so much left. I'm going to attempt to freeze some of these turkey balls before they are deep fried. Then see how they thaw out to be fried for future meals. As I see it. I got to use it or freeze my leftovers by Monday. Or I have to toss them. There are time limits by Serv Safe rules on saving leftovers in the fridge.

I got stove top stuffing, instant mashed potatoes, and a can of turkey. Fixed everything by directions than mixed all together. I beated 2 eggs and season panko bread crumbs and rolled mix in to balls dipped in eggs and than panko, pan fry until gold and brown. They were good plus I made a easy brown gravy to go with it. Next time I'm going to put cranberry sause in my mixture. But I will make it again.

I recorded this on our network thang and The CHEESY MASH is mashed taters! And yes they did forget the beer batter before frying. Beer, any kind, and flour to form a batter mix to a concistancy of a cake batter. Dip each 2-3 inch ball in the batter and fry. Did about 15 of em and we're a family of 5, all gone. Great diversion to Thankgiving

I just watched this episode and the cheesy mash must be mashed potatoes. They only used three ingredients to make the balls: chopped cooked turkey, mashed potatoes and stuffing. They also left out the beer batter coating before frying. Hope this helps.

I saw the show and then got the recipe last night. Here is what I did. I made my buttermilk Mashed potatoes and I already had stuffing in the freezer. I thawed it out. Mixed it all together I added a little turkey stock I had to moisten it a bit. I then rolled it into balls and dipped them into the beer batter. Fried them up and I could not keep the family off of them until dinner. I made mine a bit smaller because I did not have a scoop that big. I also made a basic gravy and served it with veggies and biscuits. It did not last long. I also added rosemary and sage to taste. We will definitely be making this again. .

I saw the end of the show where the turkey balls were on a plate with gravy..great alternative to serving turkey. Although looked great on TV, can't replicate without knowing what cheesy mash is...also what are the 'balls' rolled in prior to frying.

I am thinking this would be cheesy mashed potatoes but if I catch the program I will confirm. Since I have to provide a rating, I will give it a 5 to balance the other one.
