Has anyone tried to make this a few hours ahead of dinner time? I was thinking of making this earlier in the day and then transporting it to the family get together. I wonder how well the sprouts would hold up if I made this just a few hours in advance and then reheated them in the oven. Has anyone tried this with success?

I just saw this show and it looked so good I decided to make it. However, I notice there are several differences between the show and the online recipe.

If you have made this recipe and also saw the show, which did you follow?

I rate it excellent because I just KNOW it will be good!

Everyone adjusts recipes according to taste, but Tyler's are usually spot on for us. I will say though, if you have too much bacon fat, pour some out. You could also add some nuts ot your choice.
As always, thanks for the food passion Tyler!!!

These brussel sprouts were better than other ones that I have had but still lacked some flavor. Next time I make this, I will quarter the sprouts instead of halving them. Some of them were chewey. I also had a lot of liquid left in the end so put that in a jar off to the side in case I need it when I am reheating the rest of these.

I have made this several times for holiday dinners and will be on my menu for Thanksgiving this year. If you are looking for a fabulous side, you will not be dissappointed!

Like another reviewer, I watched Tyler make this on TV and wrote it down. I did not bake at the end either. I just browned the bread crumb mixture in a nonstick frying pan and then dumped them over the top of the sprouts before serving.
My husband and step-daughter are very picky but they LOVED this. It's a new side dish staple for us.

I just saw Tyler making this and I wanted to note that recipe isn't exactly how he did it. After brussel sprouts were done he put them on a serving dish. and the panko crumbs he did in a pan, browned everything really good in olive oil, and them just tossed it over brussel sprouts, they never went into oven. I wonder if the people that have commented on recipe if they did it like on TV or online recipe????

The recipe worked well. I would remove rendered bacon, and drain some of the bacon fat prior to carmelizing the brussel sprouts. Also, I would leave the cover off after adding the chicken stock, as to reduce it and not over-cook the brussel sprouts.

Husband swore that he didn't like Brussels sprouts. I asked him to keep an open mind. The whole family loved the recipe.
