    Fabulous Banana Bread

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
This was a great recipe, very moist and flavourful. I doubled the recipe and used 1 c Olive Oil + 1 c Butter, omitted the pecans and added 1 c Rolled Oats, fantastic texture! Also mine baked in 50 mins at 325F but I do live in the Caribbean, so its hotter here!

    So Good and Moist!

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
I love this banana bread recipe. I do add spices......see below. I don't slice the bread and toast it nor do I dust it with confectioners' sugar. Also, I don't add the nuts because I do not like them in banana bread. Lately I haven't even mashed the 2 banana's separately. I just whip all 4 bananas together and I actually like it better that way. This recipe makes enough for me to make one regular loaf and one mini loaf. My regular loaf takes about 60-65 minutes and the mini loaf takes about 45-50 minutes, all at 350 degrees. I have never baked this bread without these spices added. I add 1 t. ground cinnamon and 1/2 t. ground nutmeg to the dry ingredients. I saw in some of the reviews people adding chocolate chips. Yum, I might have to try it that way next.

This recipe makes a delightful bread! Sometimes I'll add in 1/2 cup of cocoa nibs and bake in muffin tins (350F for 25 minutes) for a great grab and go treat.

    Best banana bread ever!

I agree with the reviews, I normally make pumpkin bread but had some bananas to use. this is the first banana bread i've ever made, and I absolutely love it. I added blueberries and have added chocolate chips too. I only baked it about an hour because i had to leave the house, and it was perfectly moist!

    YUM!

I don't do the final step of slicing and toasting and dusting with confectioners sugar. Instead, I do in mini-loaves. Seriously, this stuff is amazing. Because it is high in calories and fat, I limit how often I make this because I do not have the willpower necessary to not eat multiple mini-loaves in one sitting. It is THAT good.

    Just Okay

Rated: 3 stars out of 5
My mom and I baked this bread yesterday afternoon, only substituting praline pecan pieces for the pecans, and i was really disappointed with how it came out. After reading all of the reviews, I expected it to be the best banana bread i had ever tasted, but it seemed fairly bland to both me and my mom. It didn't taste bad, but i would'nt make it again because there are plenty of recipes that i have tried with much more flavor. Also, the recipe says it is intermediate, but i found it very easy to make, just not flavorful.

    Hands Down The BEST

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
I have for 30+ years used the Joy of Cooking receipe. No more. This is hands down the best Banana Bread receipe. I made this yesterday and my husband ate most of the loaf before dinner. I now by bananas just to do this receipe. I can't get over how moist it is. YUM!!!

    AAAAAAAA++++++++ EXCELLENT BANANA BREAD!!!

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
This is by far thes recipe for banana bread. I read the comments and followed the recipe exactly...i also added cinnamon sugar. I divided the batter into 2 smaller pans, one i did just the original and to the other one i added about 1/2c RAISINS...it was sooo delicous, soft, moist and very flavorful. The raisins with the bananas is a gread combination. I lined my pans with tinfoil and the brushed with some vegtable oil (veg. oil has no flavor so it better to use rathan than olive, or peanut) and filled half way. I cooked for about about an 1hr each pan on 325degrees, turning at 30 min, It didnt stick, bread came out so easly from the the foil. The house smells DELICIOUS!!!! THANKS TYLER!!!! Very easy and highly recccomend the recipe to everyone. GOOD LUCK, ENJOY!!

    Excellent

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
This is an excellent recipe. Most recipes have a tasteless, un-banana-like, bread-like quality but not this. This is rich with banana flavor. I used walnuts because that is what I had in the kitchen and toasted them slightly. Moist, dense, flavorful. This is a keeper. Thanks for the great recipe!

    Best Banana Bread EVER!

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
This is by far the best banana bread recipe that I have ever used. Simple to make, this is definitely a recipe that I will make again and again. My favourite aspect of the recipe was how half of the bananas are creamed, and how the other half are left chunky. Delicious!

DEElicious!!! Tyler Florence, you are one of my faves on Food Network! Your recipes are always good & I love your demeanor. I usually lower the oven temp & cook till done, so as not to get the top too brown. Now, if Jeffrey Saad gets his own show, I will REALLY be a happy camper! (or should I say "cooker?")

    Just made 3 batches!

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
One plain, one with pecans and one with mini chips/pecans. Easy, Yummy recipe! I buy bananas in the bags that are over ripe(not rotten)and save about 20cent a pound. Doesn't sound like much but it does add up. And then put the bananas in the freezer until I have a chance to bake...then I usually make 3-4 loaves since I made a mess already. Bread also freezes well....if you can hide one! P.S. The banana skins turn black in freezer but are perfectly ok to bake with. Been doing it for years.

    Turned Out Great!

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
I have never made banana bread before. I crossed my fingers; hoping the recipe would work out. And it did! I used Splenda and whole wheat flour; baking it in muffin pans. The bread was moist, full of flavor and baking the bread in muffin pans, cut the baking time.

This is the best banana bread. My 4 year old son and I have made this countless times. It comes out perfect every time. I didn't have to make any adjustments for high altitude. We add some nutmeg and cinnamon for a little extra flavor. My son requested this for his school birthday party instead of cupcakes. Amazing!
